The Benefits Of Annual Maintenance

In keeping with Survival Systems Limited’s (SSL) policy of comprehensive after-sales support, the Annual Inspection and Maintenance; Technician and Operator Refresher Training; and Extended Warranty Program is a system of prescribed activities that complement daily pre-operational maintenance and operator programs in order to achieve the most reliable and long lasting Training Equipment solution possible. SSL’s Technical Specialist(s) will visit the Client’s facility to perform thorough inspections, annual maintenance services, and deliver refresher maintenance and equipment operator training programs.

Regular and consistent maintenance is critical to any technological product. As with all SSL deliverables, the subject Training Equipment has been designed and built to withstand the rigors of survival and aircraft ditching training in the most severe conditions. In the absence of regular consistent inspection and maintenance, as well as consistency in operator skill and proficiency, the performance and reliability of such Training Equipment can diminish.

By undertaking SSL’s Annual Maintenance Program, the Client is assured trouble free and reliable equipment as well as consistent technician / maintainer and operator performance. In addition, the yearly based Extended Warranty further assures the Client and provides consistency in managing any maintenance costs. As well, the Program centralizes the communication path of the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) through SSL and its established network of professional representatives.

In summary, the standard Annual Maintenance Program addresses:

1. Annual Training Equipment Inspection and Maintenance including Reports
2. Refurbishment or Replacement of Damaged or Worn Components
3. Training Equipment Documentation Updates
4. Refresher Technician and Operator Training including Certification
5. (Potential) Extended Training Equipment Warranty
6. Support Throughout Year for Maintenance Related Matters

METS® Annual Inspection & Maintenance

In addition to addressing any of the Client’s personnel concerns and answering questions to ensure an appropriate consistency level in equipment understanding, SSL’s METS® Technical Specialist(s), in conjunction with the Client’s personnel, will inspect and conduct maintenance in the following general areas:

1. Subassembly
2. Rotation Trolley
3. Rotation Brake Air System
4. Exterior Panels, Emergency Escape Exits
5. Interior Components
6. Corrosion Prevention and Removal
7. Pool and Rinse Water Chemistry

Personnel-Rated Lift System Annual Inspection & Maintenance

In the same format, SSL’s Personnel-Rated Lift System Technical Specialist(s), in conjunction with the Client’s personnel, will inspect and conduct maintenance in the following general areas:

1. Equipment Supporting Structure and Alignment
2. Mechanical Systems, End Trucks, Brakes, Block, Guides, and Limits
3. Pneumatic Systems, Redundant Retract System (RRS)
4. Electrical Motors, Cabling, and Components
5. Operator Controls and Control System Functionality
6. Full Acceptance Testing Program including SSL issued Certificate

Theater Systems Annual Inspection & Maintenance

SSL’s Theater Systems Technical Specialist(s), in conjunction with the Client’s personnel, will inspect and conduct maintenance in the following general areas:

1. Equipment Supporting Structure and Alignment
2. Mechanical Systems, Brakes, Blocks, Guides, and Limits
3. Electrical Motors, Cabling, and Components
4. Operator Controls and Theater Control System Functionality
